emrie signs (like, a lot. and it's awesome.)

We started doing baby sign language with Emrie when she was just a few months old & now she signs all the time. It's really great because she's able to communicate with us in ways that she can't yet using her words. She signs when she wants milk or food or more, she signs when she's tired or when she's thirsty or when she's all done, & she signs for all kinds of animals & other things that she can't say the words for yet. Craig & I say to each other on a regular basis that we're so thankful that she's able to communicate with us through signing rather than just fussing until we guessed what she wanted. Yay for baby signs!
